Site’s back up, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! It’s taken a bit longer than anticipated, but I’m glad to be back online. This year has been busier than expected in many ways, and has flown by faster than ever. As we transition through the Christmas season into a New Year, it’s a great time to reflect on all that has happened- the blessings, the obstacles, the challenges and the rewards. For us, 2016 has been filled with all of the above, and my family and I are looking forward to all 2017 has in store!
After all the hustle and bustle of a busy travel season for me and an on-going house building project on the home front, our Christmas has been spent with close family and friends. In the busyness of everyday life, it’s easy to forget the many blessings around us and just how good we have it in light of all the uncertainty and chaos around the world. My thoughts and prayers are especially with my many friends and family members in Germany as they deal with the aftermath of such a horrific and tragic event of terrorism in Berlin. It’s another stark reminder of how much everyone needs hope and security.
As I’ve so often found, music has the ability to transmit peace and hope- it’s a shortcut to the heart, and goes where words so often can’t. While music itself is not the source of life and hope, it is a powerful vehicle to spread the hope we have in Christ- which is a life-changing, joyous certainty that your future is secure in the eternal love and glory of God- the reason we celebrate Christmas.
2017 will be a busy year with multiple trips to Asia and Europe as well as performances in the US. I look forward to keeping you updated both here and on my Facebook page, where I’ll post pictures and news as I travel. My family and I wish you a safe and prosperous New Year! Until next time,
